Payments Before Disembarkation
Your credit card will be billed periodically. There will be one or two “pending” amounts which will disappear, or be replaced by a final amount matching your invoice. These may not fully resolve until a couple days following your end-date.
- You may be able to monitor your billing on the phone app (which you downloaded before boarding), or on your in-room TV. If not, ask for a statement at least 2 days before trip end so you can review it. It is not uncommon to have an extra drink or service double-billed.
- Casino play can be funded by charging (a limited amount) of withdrawals to your room. Each cruiseline has specific limits and some fees, unless you have status. Everyone is advised to be careful when making these decisions, especially if you are simulataneoulsy being served adult beverages. While we enjoy both (adult beverages and casino play), we are careful. And to make it easier to track, one of uses cash while the other charges to the room. If you expect to be “gifted” free cruising from the casinos, you will likely be disappointed. However, there Are some benefits, so it’s a personal decision - of course!
- Pro-tip: Currently you can obtain credit card “miles” or “points” from charging casino activity to your room. However, this may change. Also, you need to actually use 50% or more of that casino room charge - don’t expect to charge a large sum, cash out, and receive points without playing.
