Maintenance Issues

 

Check out a few things before settling in - the sooner you bring an issue to the attention of your attendant or by direct phoning Maintenance or Guest Services…the better.  Check the following before going to dinner, or sooner:

  • Toilet flush - problems are all too common.  Sometimes the button sticks.  Get this resolved before it plagues you (or annoys).
  • Sink - make sure it drains properly.  If you hear “glugging,” it’s only a matter of time before it will need attention.
  • Shower - it will take a minute of running the water to make sure it drains sufficiently; you don’t want this backing up during use; it will spill out on the floor before reaching your ankles, and can be quickly repaired.
  • Doors, chairs, drawers, refrigerator - anything which could be annoying, address early rather than complain later.
    • Pro-tip:  you can tactfully mention to Guest Services that a problem has disrupted your enjoyment so much that you feel some recompense is warranted, especially if takes multiple calls to resolve an issue.  Don’t accept a percentage off your next cruise; ask for an onboard credit for immediate use.
